Forest friends for little ones
Delightful plush toys, handstitched by women from the rural hearts of Bihar
The Story
Doto was born from a family project. When I became a father in 2024, I struggled to find safe, plastic-free toys for my daughter. My mother, visiting us at the time, dusted off her tailoring skills, and together we stitched the first prototypes while my little one played beside us.
What began as a labor of love grew into a mission. We returned to our village in Bihar to find women with incredible skill but limited means. We invited them in.
Today, doto is a bridge between their skilled hands and your home. We use only sustainable yarns to create toys that are safe for your baby and kind to the world. Every plush is more than a toy—it’s a hug stitched with love, providing fair livelihoods to the women who make them.
